Great pitching leads the Tigers past Lindale 8-0

A superb effort by Brady Harlan hoisted the Tigers to an 8-0 win in seven innings over Lindale on Tuesday at Lindale.

Harlan struck out 10 hitters en route to the the Tigers win. The Tigers’ pitcher tossed 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball and allowed only two hits.

The Tigers beat Lindale thanks to six hits, including one extra base hits. The Tigers scored three runs in the fifth on the Tigers scored in the fifth on an RBI double by Bobby Lopez, a sacrifice fly by Jackson Kennamore, and a sacrifice fly by DJ Minniear.

Harlan boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace the Tigers. He singled in the first, third, fifth, and sixth innings.

Nash Walters couldn’t get it done on the mound for Lindale, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.

The lead stayed with the Tigers after the first, when they scored two runs on a groundout by Joe Vasquez and an RBI single by Harlan.

The Tigers added two more runs in the top of the fourth. A hit into a fielder’s choice scored Minniear for the inning’s first run.
