The Tigers beat Jacksonville 5-1

The Tigers beat Jacksonville 5-1 in seven innings on Thursday at Corsicana behind Jackson Kennamore, who went 0-2.

Jacksonville’s lineup had no answer for Trevor Nolen. Jacksonville managed just two hits off of Nolen, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven during his five innings of work.

Cundieff ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out none, and allowed five runs.

The Tigers stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring two runs on two ground outs.

The Tigers added three more runs in the bottom of the third. A error scored Carlos Vega for the inning’s first run. That was followed up by DJ Minniear‘s single, bringing home Kennamore.

Jacksonville scored its only run of the game on an RBI single by Smith in the sixth inning.
